Having spent most of 2017 creating Revelation Theater, a series of large-scale paintings about the apocalypse, the intimate-scale works in The Coldest Night are the residue of immersing myself in that story and trying to get back out of it. My intention is to find beauty in darkness and see the darkness that frames all beauty.
